landscaper (part time)

We work to maintain the highest level of garden and lawn maintenance at a variety of properties
We work in ALL weather conditions, UNLESS there’s approved call offs announced by your manager. AKA call offs are always a possibility, especially during the rainy seasons.
We do our best to honor full time employee’s hours, with this being said, part time employees are first to be called off on poor weather/ slow days
Full days are mandatory, Mon-Fri, arrive on time, 8 hour days, meet in Ilium 7:50am - 4:40pm
Pack a lunch, layers, sunscreen, bug spray and anything else to keep you comfortable outside all day
Physical labor is a mandatory part of your job (ex. moving bags of soil), as well as hustle
Operate small equipment/machines (ie. mower, trimmer, blower)
Identify (or learn to identify) local perennials, annuals, weeds, and pests.
Formal garden bed care includes deadheading, weeding, planting, laying mulch, applying fertilizers/ chemicals
Lawn care includes mowing, trimming, raking/blowing, fertilizing, and aerating
Potential for working on larger projects, heavier equipment, and learning specialized skills
Don’t have experience? No worries! We are happy to train you. Pay starts at $22.00/hr DOE
